Service Advisor
Job Description
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Meet and greet all customers in a positive, professional manner.
- Acknowledge customers who are waiting if currently assisting another.
- Answer phones professionally: “Thanks for calling Big A, this is Dan, how may I help you?”
- Schedule appointments.
- Maintain ARO and gross profit percent using the manager’s portal.
- Keep accurate customer demographics.
- Communicate customer concerns clearly (3 C’s: Concern, Cause, Correction).
- Gather complete problem information before sending vehicle to technicians.
- Order parts as needed.
- Review digital inspections with customers.
- Advise on car care and maintenance.
- Price additional work and log declines/estimates accurately.
- Provide detailed repair instructions to techs and customers.
- Audit tickets daily for completeness.
- Prep tickets for next-day work.
- Organize daily workload.
- Attend team meetings.
- Check in freight and stock shelves.
- Assist with inventory tasks.
- Foster team collaboration.
- Maintain store appearance and cleanliness.
- Shuttle customers and pick up parts (valid driver’s license required).
Service Team Assistant
Duties and Responsibilities:
We seek someone passionate about customer service, automotive knowledge, and thriving in a fast-paced environment.
- Answering phones
- Scheduling appointments
- Greeting customers
- Pre-gaming tickets (reviewing vehicle history & maintenance)
- Ordering parts
- Calling customers for confirmations & thank-yous
- Transporting specialty parts
- Shuttling customers
- Billing out customers
- Preparing loaner cars
- Vendor returns & inventory support
- Assisting the Service Team as needed
Qualifications:
- Automotive knowledge (preferred)
- Excellent customer service and phone skills
- Enthusiastic and clear communication
- Team player attitude
- Desire to learn and grow
- Ability to thrive in a high-volume environment
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Professional appearance
- Valid driver’s license and clean record
- Tech-savvy with computers and tablets
Education/Experience: High school diploma or equivalent
Continuing Education: Ongoing team training and paid learning opportunities throughout the year.
