Can I Drive My Car While Over Heating?

If you see steam coming out from under your hood or if your Temperature
Gauge on your dash is moving towards HOT, your car is overheating.
Immediately turn off the air conditioner and turn on the Heat. Turning on
your heater will actually divert heat from going to your Engine.

Immediately find a safe place to pull over and shut off your Engine. At this
point you may have to call an Auto Repair Shop Near Me or a Tow Truck.

Allow the Engine to Cool Down for at Least 15 Minutes. If you have Radiator
Fluid or Water with you, you might add it to the Radiator or to the Coolant
Overflow Reservoir. Only add this when the Engine is Cooled Down.

Restart your Engine and Drive directly to an Auto Repair Shop like Big A

begins to creep up to the Hot Level, then pull over again.
